SIS is a corporation controlled by Kwikwetlem First Nation Enterprises (KFNE) whose mandate is to explore and monetize the economic development opportunities present in Kwikwetlem first nation’s recognized traditional area and beyond. The intent is to evolve and diversify by the addition of service lines ensuring participation in the growing lower Fraser Valley economy. The long-term vision is to create sustainable revenue streams from internal capacity with less reliance on external partnerships.

Saskay Land Development (SLD)
SLD is owned by the KFNE in trust to KFN and operates under KFNE. SLD is a heavy equipment contractor specializing in large scale site preparation earthworks. SLD is currently the prime contractor on the 44-hectare Kwikwetlem Business Park. SLD also has a range of newer, well maintained heavy equipment with competent operators available to other project and contractors on rental.
Saskay Soil Transfer Facility (SSTF) is a registered business in partnership with KFN Enterprises LP (KFNE) and Milestone Environmental Contracting Inc. (MECI). SSTF has been in operation since 2017 and operates on the IR2 Development Site located at 2650 River Rd, Port Coquitlam.
The core business of the SSTF is a soil management and transfer facility, selectively accepting waste quality soil, non-structural soil and debris for management and offsite disposal. All material received follows strict adherence to screening, handling, and sampling protocols prior to final disposal at appropriate permitted facilities.

Saskay Earth Exchange is now able to offer disposal options for contaminated Hydro excavated soils with a specially designed receiving facility. All source sites must follow a pre-approval process and are priced on a per job basis, please contact us for details. Materials containing hazardous waste are not accepted.
Currently Saskay Earth Exchange offers competitive deep burial disposal options for any soils containing invasive species root materials.
Following the Saskay Earth Exchange principals of environmentally ethical and sustainable practises our Hydrovac Facility recycles our planets most valuable resource, water. Using a simple yet effective settling and filtration system the facility separates saturated hydro excavated soils back into dry soils and clean drinking standard water. The clean water is made available to all to hydrovac units for reuse.

Saskay Earth Exchange (SEE)
In partnership with the Kwikwetlem First Nation, the Saskay Earth Exchange transfer station offers extensive disposal options including a state-of-the-art hydrovac disposal facility. The facility has been built with customer efficiency in mind, boasting two 80-foot scales with available E-Ticketing giving clients real time insight on project progress. The transfer station is centrally located in Port Coquitlam within 10 min drive time of the Trans Canada highway allowing clients to efficiently plan for projects. This is further enhanced by on-site gravel sales giving clients the opportunity to back haul gravels when needed, eliminating the need for trucks to visit multiple sites. The result being less trucks on the road for less time and a smaller carbon footprint.

Saskay Professional Services (SPS) is a partnership between KFNE and R. Radloff & Associates Inc., an engineering firm that specializes in providing sustainable civil and mechanical infrastructure solutions for First Nations communities and municipalities. SPS offers both engineering and community planning, specializing in water and wastewater operations.
Since its launch in 1948, the B&B Contracting Group has stood at the forefront of civil construction in the Lower Mainland. Our 75-year journey in the industry has enabled our group of companies to both expand and refine our areas of expertise. This includes our relationship with the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation (KFN), which has led to the establishment of Saskay Ready Mix. Archaeology

KFNE has been collaborating with “Brown and Oakes Archaeology” for a decade. “Brown and Oaks Archaeology” has conducted numerous archeological assessments on the Coquitlam IR2 site.
The purpose of the archeological assessments is to inspect the project areas for the presence of archeological materials prior to planned land alterations and receive recommendations to protect archeological resources should they be present. KFNE is sensitive to cultural heritage.
